St. Anthony Parish
St. Anthony Parish, located in the Brookland area of northeast Washington, DC, is a Catholic community full of faith and promise. Fr. Fred Close provides pastoral direction. We celebrate Christ's life and presence through vibrant and meaningful worship, and a rich community life based on faith, hope, and love. We proclaim the Good News through hospitality, education and evangelization. We respond in service to the poor, and reach out in justice to those in our community and beyond, and have as our final goal to reach eternal life with God.
St. Anthony is located two blocks east of the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception. It is one block from the Brookland/CUA metro station on the red line. From the Capital Beltway, take route 50 to the exit for South Dakota Avenue and make a left turn at Monroe Street. The church is on the corner of 12th and Monroe streets.
