Set Me as a Seal Upon Your Heart

February 29

Shared on Friday, January 22, 2010, the evening after the March For Life

“Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28).

“And now, Lord, take note of their threats, and enable your servants to speak your word with all boldness, as you stretch forth [your] hand to heal, and signs and wonders are done through the name of your holy servant Jesus.” As they prayed, the place where they were gathered shook, and they were all filled with the holy Spirit and continued to speak the word of God with boldness. The community of believers was of one heart and mind, and no one claimed that any of his possessions was his own, but they had everything in common.” (Acts 4:29-32).

I have an image of Our Lady of Guadalupe. Come to her for wisdom, light and grace.

The words of the song come to mind: “I have loved you with an everlasting love, I have called you, and you are Mine!” (referring to Jeremiah 31:3).

I sense the joy God wants us to have as His Church. The enemy wants to rob us of our joy.

“Gracious is the LORD and righteous; yes, our God is merciful. The LORD protects the simple; I was helpless, but he saved me.” (Psalm 116:5-6).

“He proposed another parable to them. “The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed that a person took and sowed in a field. It is the smallest of all the seeds, yet when full-grown it is the largest of plants. It becomes a large bush, and the ‘birds of the sky come and dwell in its branches.” (Matthew 13:31-32).

The sense is about seeds that have been planted year after year at the March for Life.

“Your own eyes will see it, and you will say, “Great is the LORD, even beyond the territory of Israel.” (Malachi 1:5).

“My sons and daughters, I want to heal the depths of your heart tonight. Give Me permission.”

God is jealous for our love. He wants us to love Him passionately. Cast out any idol.

“Set me as a seal upon your heart, as a seal upon your arm.” (Song of Songs 8:6).
